LENS live #2 - Donderdag 26 maart

Het collectief TogetherTogether speelt hun performance Whispering bodies: scores for the we. Het vertelt een verhaal over de zoektocht naar collectiviteit en de vreugde en frictie die daarbij komt kijken. Ze visualiseren de onzichtbare onderlinge relaties middels een installatie van touwen, onderdeel van de installatie Risking entanglement, een speelplaats waar het collectief oefent in onderlinge afhankelijkheid en beweging van en naar elkaar. 

 

Na de performance van ca. 30-45 minuten is er een nagesprek met de makers. 
 

TogetherTogether 

Collectief TogetherTogether bestaat uit Juliana Acero, Stefano Cattani, Carmen Draxler, Laura Flethe en Rita Gaspar. Zij vormen een onderzoeksgedreven artistiek collectief dat werkt met visuele storytelling, performance, scenografie en social work. Met hun werk gaan zij in tegen de individualisering van de maatschappij.

 

Expo Bart 

Expo Bart is een projectruimte voor hedendaagse kunst waar je spannende, nieuwe (co)producties in een creatieve verzamelplaats op een oud industrieterrein beleeft. Het voormalig fabriekspand op het NYMA-terrein in Nijmegen is een speeltuin geworden voor uiteenlopende kunstprojecten: uitdagende samenwerkingen tussen kunstenaars, interactieve en theatrale installaties, exposities, performances en live events. En zo nu en dan een show/optreden vanaf het podium op het dak. 

On Thursday 26 March, the TogetherTogether collective will transform the old Honig factory hall into an organised tangle of ropes, which will be used for playing and wondering. 

 

Whispering bodies: scores for the we 

“Whispering bodies: scores for the we”, tells a story about the search for collectivity, the joys and frictions of shaping a ‘collective body’, visualizing the intangible relations. It takes place in the site-specific installation “Risking entanglement”, a playground where We exercise interdependence and rehearse ‘suspension’, not as a way of escaping modernity but as a method of resistance. 

 

TogetherTogether 

Juliana Acero, Stefano Cattani, Carmen Draxler, Laura Flethe and Rita Gaspar form TogetherTogether, a research-based artistic collective that works on the intersection of visual storytelling, performance, scenography and social work. We are five international artists driven by the need to resist the alienation of living in an individualistic society by growing a collective artistic practice. Through gatherings, performances, and installations, we create spaces for collective care and counter-narratives that spark hope in a paranoiac world. We protest otherwise, always TogetherTogether. 

 

Expo Bart 

Expo Bart is a project space for contemporary art where you can experience exciting new (co)productions in a creative gathering place on an old industrial site. The former factory building on the NYMA site in Nijmegen has become a playground for a wide range of art projects: challenging collaborations between artists, interactive and theatrical installations, exhibitions, performances and live events. And every now and then, a show or performance from the stage on the roof.
